Simply said, it's a home a way from home with a fully fenced and safe yard with lots of space to run around. Your pet is well loved in your absence and made to feel comfortable.

Dogs, unless they are used to being kenneled, usually don't do well if they are confined in your absence. They think, that not only have you left them but in addition that they are being punished for some unknown indiscretion. Psychologically it can cause a lot of grief for them, often not eating or developing nervous habits like licking continuously.

Knowing this Jill provides a home away from home that's all about dogs. A lot of dogs sleep on her bed and that's perfectly all right with her as long as they are allowed at home too. She's had as many as 7 dogs on her bed at one time, granted they are small dogs.

Jill has had animals all her life. For a number of years she ran a boarding stable with 15 horses, rabbits, cats and of course dogs. She just can't imagine a life without animals in it. Since starting her dog business in February 2002, she has found a very special gift in her ability to relate with dogs. Dogs seem to naturally gravitate to her and love staying with her in her home. Although happy when their owner's return, they are always happy to come back and see Jill The Dog Nanny.

Jill practices massage and a Reiki on all the dogs that stay with her and they love it.
